Sunshine Artist Magazine
"200
Best of Show List"
|
We are the only juried and
judged show in the State devoted exclusively to
the promotion of New Mexico artisans and
craftspeople, thereby supporting economic
development in New Mexico.
The Fair is a 501(c)3
not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to
provide the creative community a venue through
which to present and sell their work. The
prestigious Fair presents over 200 of the most
talented New Mexican artists and craftspeople
and creates a significant economic impact
throughout the state. The Fair ranks among the
largest events in the state and one of the top
shows in the nation with prizes totaling over
$4,500 awarded to artists and youth exhibitors.
The Fair attracts approximately 15,000 prospective
buyers and averages $700,000 in sales to the
artists, making its total impact on the
community about $900,000 per year.
The Fair encourages and
supports youth artisans as well, ensuring future
generations will have a venue to display and
sell their work directly to the public in an
open air gallery setting. The Fair is run by
artists and community volunteers and relies on
active support from the arts and business
community.
