Because of the success of prior year’s silent auction, we have able to give money to many worth causes and charities. The need for such assistance is greater now than in many years and so we are asking you once again to participate by donating a piece of your art to the auction.

The Silent Auction will be in the same place as last year, just inside the archway into Manuel Lujan Hall B. We have made a few organizational changes that we hope will make things easier for all of us.

  • In your sign-in packet will be the Silent Auction form already filled out with number and name of artist.

  • The booth number where you will be for the three days of the Fair will be the number for your item in the Silent Auction.

  • All this information will be on a spreadsheet in the computer before the show begins. This will allow for a more complete record of items, their bid price, and the purchaser information.

  • We hope that this will cut down on the amount of time that it takes for us to register your items. All that you will need to do is write in the value of the item.

  • We will be available on Thursday to receive your donation and also on Friday morning.

  • We will have a donation letter for you when we receive your artwork accepting your item at the value you have placed upon the piece.

Thank you for sharing your art through the Silent Auction and NMACF.

You must bring enough work to display and sell for the entire of the Fair. Exhibitors must personally attend their booths during the entire Fair except for occasional breaks. Only work produced by the exhibitor and only work in the category(ies) juried into the Fair may be displayed or sold at the Fair. The NMACF Standards Committee will ensure that all work displayed conforms to the NMACF regulations. You will be asked to remove any work not juried or meeting standards. Failure to comply will result in removal from the Fair. No booth music is allowed, as we will have piped in music throughout the show.

The Artist Demonstrations Committee will contact all accepted entrants seeking volunteers to do artist demonstrations during the Fair.  If you would like to volunteer, you will be asked to provide a brief descriptive title and will be offered a one hour time slot for the demonstration.  These demonstrations are announced over the public address system, in the printed Fair program and on schedule posters near the Fair entrance.  The audience is casual, made up of fair visitors, patrons and other artists.

Artists are to begin their booth teardown and cleanup no earlier that the official closing of the fair, which will be at 4:00pm on Sunday.

The Fair judges will be walking around and jurying for our Award categories, beginning at 10am on Friday and continuing until possibly Saturday. A detailed description and list of awards will be provided at registration.
